MOBIUS

We bought a pass to this little museum to try and keep us warm and busy, until all this cold weather passes. It has turned out to be really fun! There are fun little bikes to ride, an art room with paints, markers, and anything else you can think of, dress ups, a baby crawl and discover room, and way more! The girls have really enjoyed it... so I guess it proves to be money well spent!

Good Friends!

I am so grateful that Abby has such good friends. I remember one of the first weeks we were here. We went to a ward party and Abby wanted so bad to go and play with some kids in the sand box. I told her that was fine, and then watched her from a distance. She ran over so excited and ready to make some new friends. As I watched she asked a little girl if she could play with her and the little girl said “NO”. I watched as Abby’s faced turned into a frown and needless to say I was on the verge of tears. I thought to myself what have we done…we took her away from all of her cousins, friends and grannies’ and pas’ and brought her to a place with nothing familiar. In that moment I felt like the worst mom. But as I continued to watch she just kept asking other kids and before I knew it she was having a ball. I am so grateful for Abby. She has been such a trooper to move away from everything she loves. I love her so much!! And we love all of her darling friends!

Here is our little angle Audrey Lynn. This video was taken about 3 weeks ago. She is still trying to figure out all this walking stuff. Levi and I just think she is the cutest thing ever. She is still so small and trying to walk around like a big kid. Well just for an idea on how small she is… she is in the 3rd percentile for weight 16lbs, 7 for height and 25 for head. Don’t worry she is healthy as can be and passing off her mile stones. She is just our little peanut!

Tag I'm it

The rules are: Once you have been tagged you have to write a blog with 10 weird random things, facts, or habits about yourself. At the end, you choose 10 people to be tagged. Don't forget to leave a comment that says, "you've been tagged" on their profile and tell them to read your blog.

This is a first for me... so here it goes

1. I am totally obsessed with picking my finger nails. It drives Levi crazy, and me. It's funny most of the time I don't even realize I am doing it, and then Levi gives me the look and I stop. Maybe one day I can kick this bad habit!

2. Scrabble is one of my favorite games!! Levi and I love to play it all the time. It is relaxing for us. We just get the girls to bed and then play for hours on end. But we do have to have a lot of yummy snack to eat while we play!

3. Going along with number 2 I love puzzles they are so addicting! Over Christmas we did 3 very difficult puzzles, and it was so fun! We actually have a collection of puzzles, one for all the places we have lived since we have been married.

4. I love the outdoors, especially the summer. I love to go camping, hiking, swimming, boating, etc. My favorite place to do all of these is at Lake Powell. It is so beautiful!! I also love going up the canyon for a picnic or a bonfire.

5. I have moved 9 times in less than 5 years. We have lived in Chicago, Huston, Apple Valley Minnesota, North Orem, South Orem and now Spokane WA. Now we will be moving again this summer back to Utah for an internship. It's a good thing we are pros at packing!!

6. One of my favorite things to do is sew. I am not that good at it, but I try. I love to see the end result; I think it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Silly I know, but its fun!

7. I am obsessed with having the sheets on my bed tucked in, which isn't a good combo with Levi, because he is slightly claustrophobic. So my side is always snug and his is everywhere!!

8. I love reality TV. I know that is pathetic that I like watching other people’s lives and problems played out for the public, but it is just funny to watch. The ones I watch the most are Biggest Loser, Project Runway, Amazing Race and The Bachelor. I think I like them so much because they are all so competitive. My dream is that someday Levi and I will be on the Amazing Race!!

9. I wear sweats all day long. If I am home you can bet I will be wearing sweats! I love them they are so warm, cozy and comfortable! I have so many pairs, but for some reason when I go shopping that is what I want to buy!!

10. I hate to do the laundry. OK I really don't mind doing it, but folding it that’s another story. Good thing I have the best husband...he folds all the laundry and puts it away!!!

I am tagging Sarah, Christy, Jessica, Jamie, Laura, Amy, Lisa, Rachel, Travy and Lauren.

Snow, Snow and More SNOW!

So here are the pictures of all the crazy snow we have had the last couple weeks. I know it has taken me forever to get these posted. I'm sure you are all thinking we were joking about the snow, but as you can see we weren't! We ended up getting about 2 to 2 1/2 feet in about 3 days, which for Utah dosen't seem like a lot, but for Spokane it is a ton!! There are only a few snowplows so you can imagine the road situation. That is why they canceled elmentary schools, jr. high schools, high schools, colleges, work and just about everything else. The whole city ended up claiming a state of emergency, which was nice for all the public schools because they don't have to make up classes. Poor Gonzaga students...you pay a price when you go to a private school. Luckily Levi's school was only canceled two days instead of the whole week. Well we have definitely felt at home this winter to say the least. Thank goodness we know how to drive in snow and have a 4 wheel drive SUV. They don't plow the parking lots and some people were stuck at home for days! It took the snowplows almost a week and a half before they were able to get to most of the residential areas. We are lucky that we live on a main street.

Now we are ready for SPRING!!

Happy Valentine's Day

We had a friend in our ward host a Valentine's Day Picnic. We had such a great time. The girls played pin the heart on the bullseye and they had a pinata, but the best part was handing out the Valentines. Abby was so excited, she had helped to put them all together and had helped me make a valentine box to put them in. She was very proud and excited to share them with everyone. It was a huge group of people, about 20 kids plus the moms, so it was crazy to say the least. But we had a blast!!

President Hinckley

Born in Salt Lake City on June 23, 1910, Gordon B. Hinckley was prepared from his youth to be a prophet. After graduating from the University of Utah, he was called to serve a mission to Great Britain. After he returned, he embarked on a lifetime of service for the Church. He was employed as the executive secretary of the Church Radio, Publicity, and Literature committee, before he was called to be an Apostle in 1961. He was later called to serve as a counselor to President Kimball, President Benson, and President Hunter. Since becoming Church President on March 12, 1995, he has directed the most intense temple building program in the history of the Church in an effort to extend temple blessings to more members. He has exhibited vitality and energy as he has traveled about the world meeting and speaking to members of the Church. Through television interviews and national press publications, he has increased media attention and improved the public image of the Church. He has counseled Church members to fellowship new converts, befriend members of other faiths, live exemplary lives, and avoid the evils of the world.
What an amazing example in every way. I hope we will all remember him and try to follow his example! I am so grateful for the gosple, that we have living Prophets on the earth today. I love President Hinckley, my life has been blessed from hearing all his amazing words of wisdom and love.

Christmas Morning

Abby got all princess stuff just like she ask for! A beautiful princess scooter and a princess cash register. She had such a great time. Now that the holidays are over she is still asking me if Santa can bring her more princess stuff! Hopefully she will get tired of asking, because I know I am tired of answering "maybe next year".

Christmas morning was so much fun!! It is great to have a little three year old who gets so excited! It really brings the magic of Christmas alive. Well the girls were spoiled to say the lest as well as Levi and I. We have the best parents ever!! Here are some cute pictures of the girls and all the many presents they accumulated that morning!

Although Audrey loved her presents, I think she liked the wrapping paper and bows the best!!

What do you want for Christmas?

We had such a fun Christmas party with a special guest... Santa!! The kids were absolutely thrilled and excited to see Santa. Abby couldn't keep her eyes off him. She had to give him about 10 hugs and kisses and sit in the front row while all the other kids were having their turn on Santa's lap. It was really cute, because the last few years she has been really scared of him. Now Audrey on the other hand was terrified as you can tell from her picture, but I guess you always have to have one picture like that!

Grannies Cookie Party

What a fun tradition, every Christmas mom gets all the grand kids together for the annual COOKIE PARTY! The kids get to decorate and eat cookies to their hearts content! And let me tell you I have never seen a cookie with so many sprinkles, I couldn't even see the frosting. Abby sure loves sprinkles!!

Happy Birthday Abby!

Well Abby turned 3 on December 9th. She had two wonderful birthdays, one here in Spokane with all our great friends and one in Utah with all our families! She was definitely spoiled, In fact I think she got more for her birthday then she did for Christmas!! I had no idea that there was so much princess stuff on the market. Everything she got was princess and there were no duplicates.
Audrey felt like it was her party too!! She has never been so happy with all the wrapping paper and boxes!!
Thanks to everyone that came, each of you really made her day special!
